Participation

Being part of Cheaha Winds is a rewarding and voluntary experience. Our members come from all walks of life, from young adults to retirees, and bring a wide range of musical abilities—from enthusiastic students to seasoned professionals.

We’re always excited to welcome new members! We ask for your commitment to attending rehearsals and performances. While most members are 18 or older, we do welcome younger musicians on a case-by-case basis with parental permission and a recommendation from their high school band director. Some special considerations may apply to ensure a positive experience for everyone. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. This is where the magic begins as we prepare for our performances and share the joy of music together.

Membership Contributions

Cheaha Winds does not require fixed membership dues. We do ask that members participate in our fundraisers and contribute as they are able to help support the band’s programs and community outreach efforts. Your involvement ensures we can continue making music accessible to everyone and keep our performances vibrant and meaningful.
